Poland says 32 people detained and suspected of coordinating with Russia for sabotage

Authorities detain dozens of foreign nationals over alleged Russian plots.

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said authorities have detained 32 people suspected of coordinating with Russia to carry out sabotage. One person has already been convicted, while the other 31 remain in custody awaiting trial. The group includes Polish, Russian, Ukrainian, and Belarusian nationals, as well as a 27-year-old Colombian accused of two arson attacks in May 2024. According to the Internal Security Agency, the Colombian faces 10 years to life in prison and allegedly received Molotov cocktail instructions from someone linked to Russian intelligence.
