As protests continue in Georgia, police are raiding the offices of several opposition parties in attempts to stop them. Protests broke out after Georgia’s government party, the Dream party, decided to suspend talks about joining the European Union. The protests have continued for almost a week. The opposition Coalition for Change party said that on Wednesday its leader, Nika Gvaramia, was detained by police. Some offices of the opposition United National Movement (UNM) party were also raided. UNM stated that the Georgian government has launched “all-out terror and repressions against opponents.”
