On Monday, the Vatican announced the passing of Pope Francis at 88 years old. His cause of death was a cerebral stroke, leading to a coma and heart failure. Now, the process will begin to find a new leader for the world’s 1.4 billion Catholics. The Pope’s death comes just one day after he appeared in front of thousands of Catholics for the Vatican’s Easter Sunday Mass. He had also met with US Vice President JD Vance the same day. The Pope was known for his effort to promote global peace and dialogue between religions.
