Russia and Ukraine agree to halt Black Sea attacks, US says 

The U.S. announced yesterday that both Russia and Ukraine have agreed to stop attacks on vessels in the Black Sea. Additionally, they will halt military strikes on energy infrastructure. These agreements are the most significant step in the war thus far towards a larger ceasefire. However, it is not yet clear when the partial truce will begin, as Ukraine stated the agreement was effective immediately while Russia said certain sanctions had to be lifted first. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that if Russia violates the agreement, Ukraine will seek more U.S. support.
