Over the past few days, Pakistani airstrikes against Afghanistan have intensified. Pakistani leaders were once close friends with the Taliban in Afghanistan, but this relationship has increasingly frayed. Cross-border violence has become very frequent. On December 24, the Pakistani government targeted hideouts of the Pakistani Taliban and killed several top militants.
