U.S. President Donald Trump and Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth have announced new additions to the Golden Dome missile defense program plan, including putting weapons in space for the first time. In his clearest plan yet, Trump announced his selection of the system’s architecture which will be designed to fend off missile attacks. The system will include space-based sensors and interceptors, and Trump promised that it will be capable of intercepting missiles launched from anywhere once the concept is fully constructed.
