As the U.S. and Russia met in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday, talks were not limited just to ending the Ukraine war. The meeting is a stark contrast from the past three years of American efforts to isolate Russia. The talks lasted over four hours, signaling President Trump’s intention to roll back the Biden administration’s Moscow approach and instead work closely with Russia. In response to the talks, President Volodymyr Zelensky postponed his own visit to Saudi Arabia, protesting that Ukraine was not invited on Tuesday.
