Ukraine has claimed responsibility for the assassination of General Igor Kirillov, a top Russian official, in Moscow. General Kirillov was the chief of Russia’s radioactive, chemical, and biological defense forces. He was killed by a bomb in Russia on Tuesday. This was one of the boldest assassinations in Russia since the invasion of Ukraine. A Ukrainian official stated that Ukraine was responsible for the attack. Just one day prior to the assassination, Ukraine accused General Kirillov of the “massive use of banned chemical weapons.”
