Yemen’s Iran-aligned Houthis said on Tuesday that they had attacked a ship in the northern Red Sea with two drones and a missile over its connection to Israel. The group did not say when the attack happened. There was no immediate confirmation of the attack from maritime sources. “The Yemeni armed forces carried out a joint military operation targeting the ship … for violating the (Houthi) decision to ban entry to the ports of occupied Palestine,” the group’s spokesperson said. On Monday, the Houthis said they launched a missile towards the Liberia-flagged Israeli-owned tanker “Scarlet Ray” ship near Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea port city of Yanbu. The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) said on Sunday that it received a report of an incident 40 nautical miles southwest of Yanbu.
