Yemen’s Houthis have stated that if the Gaza ceasefire is fully implemented, they will limit their attacks on commercial vessels to Israel-linked ships only. This announcement may reduce disruptions which have affected world maritime trade for over a year. On Sunday, the Sanaa-based Humanitarian Operations Coordination Centre (HOCC) said that it is stopping sanctions against U.S. and British vessels. The HOCC is a liaison between Houthi forces and commercial shipping operators. The Houthis will only stop targeting Israeli-linked ships “upon the full implementation of all phases of the agreement.”
