Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has offered new terms to end the Russia-Ukraine war, attempting to assure the Trump administration that Ukraine wants peace. On X, Zelensky wrote that Friday’s White House meeting was “regrettable,” and that it was, “time to make things right.” Zelensky stated that he was prepared to release Russian prisoners of war, stop drone and missile strikes on Russian targets, and declare a truce at sea, if Russia will do the same. While the White House has identified Zelensky as the main obstacle to peace, this proposal seems designed to shift this burden to Russia.
