Hackers attack South Korean government servers

Hackers based in China have attacked South Korean government computers with two viruses, prompting the country to tighten security, a spy agency said on Tuesday. Two viruses, the Peep Trojan and Backdoor Revacc, have assaulted 278 computers in South Korea, and the attacks are spreading, the National Intelligence Agency (NIS) said. “Since the National Intelligence Service first noticed the hacking in June, we have found that China was the last place to dispatch them (the viruses),” the government agency said. “The government views this incident as a threat to national security…and will cope with it together with related ministries and the police agency,” the NIS said in a statement.
