The Philippine military rescued U.S. hostage Jeffrey Schilling on Thursday from Muslim rebels who had threatened to behead him last week, military officials said. The 25-year-old Oakland, Calif., resident was rescued in good shape 10 days of assaults on the southern island of Jolo, said Brig. Gen.
