A Russian court on Wednesday sentenced six young men to up to 19 years in jail for racist murders, a type of violence that the United Nations has said is on the increase in Russia. The six young men — three of whom were minors at the time they carried out a series of attacks that included three murders — were also each ordered to pay damages of around $8,000 to their victims’ families, local media reported.
