Explosive thrown in Japanese school, 53 hurt

A Japanese high school student threw a bottle containing an explosive into a classroom at his school on Friday injuring 53 people, one seriously, police and fire officials said. An 18-year-old boy was arrested at the school in Yamaguchi prefecture, some 780 km (485 miles) west of Tokyo, after tossing the bottle into a classroom from the school corridor, NHK national television said.
