With the focus for this week’s G8 summit set on African aid and meetings with outsiders like China, India and Brazil, Japan is determined to exploit every opportunity to push for two issues dear to its heart – North Korea and the United Nations. Japanese officials said they don’t expect breakthroughs on either issue.
