The Islamic Jihad said on Sunday that the Israeli army detained a senior official of the movement in the northern West Bank city of Tulkarm. The movement said in a leaflet that Israeli forces raided the house of Sheikh Ibrahim Fayyad, one of political leaders of the Islamic Jihad in Tulkarm, and arrested him. Meanwhile, militants of the Palestinian mainstream Fatah movement launched several homemade rockets at Jewish settlements in the Gaza Strip on Sunday. Abu El-Reesh Brigades, Fatah’s armed offshoot, said its militants fired four homemade rockets at the Jewish settlement of Nitzarim south of Gaza City early Sunday morning. Full Story
