The radical Islamists behind Bangladesh’s second wave of bombings in less than two months targeted the judiciary to press for the introduction of Islamic laws in the mainly Muslim democracy, security experts said. Monday’s simultaneous blasts at courthouses in three towns, which killed two people and wounded 15 including a district court judge, may also have sought to terrorize judges due to try hundreds of people arrested for a string of attacks in August. “The militants want to intimidate the judiciary.
