A girl was killed when suspected insurgents blew up a gas pipeline in Pakistan’s troubled southwestern Baluchistan province, while two policemen were shot dead in a separate attack. The seven-year-old girl was on her way to school with her mother when a bomb exploded near the pipeline in the town of Sui, 240 kilometers (150 miles) southeast of the provincial capital Quetta. “The girl, Mah Noor, died on the spot while her mother was wounded when they were hit by shrapnel,” local official Abdul Samad Lasi told AFP on Wednesday.
