North Korea appeared to step up preparations for testing a long-range missile, Kyodo News reported Friday, amid warnings from Tokyo that such a test would threaten Japanese security. An additional rocket section has arrived at a North Korean launch site within the last 48 hours, the Japanese agency said, citing U.S. military officials in Washington. Chief Cabinet Secretary Shinzo Abe refused to comment when asked if such a launch was imminent, but said Tokyo was closely watching Pyongyang’s moves. Full Story
