Uganda truce deal “huge step”, but questions remain

A truce between Ugandan rebels and the government could be a huge step in efforts to end one of Africa’s longest wars if the guerrillas comply with the deal to quit their hideouts, observers said on Sunday. Under the deal agreed on Saturday at peace talks in southern Sudan, the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) has three weeks to assemble at two Sudanese camps while negotiations continue. Full Story
