South Korea’s president arrived Friday in Beijing to discuss possible sanctions against North Korea for its claimed nuclear test, as the U.N. Security Council weighed U.S. demands for tough penalties and Japan adopted a trade and travel ban. South Korean President Roh Moo-hyun was to meet with his Chinese counterpart, Hu Jintao, and other leaders on the one-day visit.
