Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Sistani, the great Shi’i cleric, was taken to hospital in Najaf by ambulance on the morning of 9 April after his physical condition deteriorated, Iranian Fars News Agency website has reported citing the “Al-Anba Iraq news agency”. The report added that Sistani’s doctors were saying that he is suffering from shortness of breath and rapid heart beats and that he has passed out twice this morning. Full Story
