120 held over sectarian clashes in northern Nigeria: police

Some 120 people were arrested in connection with last week’s sectarian clashes that killed five in the northern Nigerian city of Sokoto over the murder of a radical Sunni cleric, police said Monday. Sokoto state police commissioner Shehu Othman told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) the suspects would appear in court “anytime from now, after the conclusion of our ongoing investigations.” Full Story
