Advancements in AI are shaking the cyber security world and fueling deep interest in AI cybersec startups. Dallas-based cybersecurity company Island closed a $400 million Series F round led by Evolution Equity Partners, valuing the firm at $6.4 billion. This amount is more than double at what it was valued at 2024. Known for pioneering the secure Enterprise Browser, Island is leveraging the capital to expand into an enterprise-wide “control plane” that governs both human workers and autonomous AI agents. The platform monitors and audits AI agent actions across endpoints, networks, and applications, applying guardrails and access controls in real time to prevent data leakage and rogue behavior.
