Alibaba Unveils $450 Qwen N1 AI Glasses in Push into Consumer Hardware

Alibaba officially launched its Qwen Glasses N1 series in China, starting at 2,999 yuan (roughly $450) before discounts. The glasses integrate Alibaba’s Qwen AI assistant via bone-conduction microphones, enabling voice translation, meeting notes, shopping, and mobile payments. An upgraded Pro version adds advanced capabilities like eye-tracking, iris-scan payments, and comprehensive health monitoring. The hardware lineup directly targets market leaders like Meta’s Ray-Ban smart glasses to serve as a primary physical gateway for users to interact with AI tools. Alongside the eyewear, Alibaba debuted its Qwen Clip AI earbuds co-developed with Bose to further broaden its consumer device ecosystem.
