Aurelius Systems Demonstrates Scalable Directed Energy Effectiveness for Counter-UAS Defense at T-REX 26-2

Aurelius Systems successfully demonstrated scalable autonomous directed-energy with its Archimedes platform during Technology Readiness Experimentation (T-REX) 26-2, an event hosted by the Office of the Under Secretary of War for Research and Engineering’s (OUSW R&E) at Camp Atterbury, Indiana. The demonstration showcased Archimedes’ precision in tracking, detecting, and neutralizing aerial threats at a distance. Over the course of the exercise, Archimedes successfully engaged more than 20 quadcopter drones, as well as more than five Army-supplied drones that the platform had not encountered before. Archimedes was one of 60 defense technologies evaluated at the exercise to identify potential innovative solutions that can enhance force protection, improve mission effectiveness, and accelerate the deployment of next-generation defense capabilities. In April, Aurelius launched an initiative to establish a scalable domestic supply of defense-grade laser components, addressing both Pentagon and broader U.S. industry needs. The company’s first product will be a compact, rack-integrated high-power fiber laser source module built to military specifications.
