CrowdStrike Expands AI Security Footprint With $495 Million Acquisition of Fiddler AI and Dreadnode

CrowdStrike announced definitive agreements to acquire two specialized artificial intelligence security startups Fiddler AI for approximately $400 million and Dreadnode for about $95 million totaling a combined $495 million. Fiddler AI’s technology will be integrated into the Falcon platform as Falcon Observe, giving enterprises deep visibility to trace AI agents’ decisions, monitor execution behavior, and log activities for compliance. Dreadnode brings offensive AI security testing tools that simulate more than 100 known attack vectors including prompt injections and jailbreaks to uncover vulnerabilities before models are deployed. Coinciding with the purchase announcements, CrowdStrike rolled out a runtime “kill switch” designed to instantly halt, block restarts, and sever network access for runaway AI agents that deviate from safe parameters. The multi-pronged rollout underscores the cybersecurity industry’s rapid pivot toward securing autonomous software workflows as corporations accelerate enterprise-wide agentic AI deployments.
