Cruise Founder Kyle Vogt’s Robotics Startup Eyes $4 Billion Valuation

The Bot Company, a startup working on robots that can do chores for people, is set to raise $250 million in a funding round that will value the company at more than $4 billion, according to people familiar with the matter. The company was started by Kyle Vogt, who previously founded and led the self-driving car company Cruise. Vogt launched the Bot Company last year alongside former Tesla Inc. artificial intelligence leader Paril Jain and former Cruise software engineer Luke Holoubek. The new valuation doubles the company’s value from a funding round this spring led by Greenoaks Capital, according to PitchBook data. The Bot Company declined to comment.
