China’s DeepSeek rolled out a public beta application programming interface, or API, for its flagship artificial intelligence model, V4 Flash, touting advancements in agentic abilities. “Significantly enhanced agent capabilities, with benchmark results far exceeding V4-Pro-Preview,” the company said in a post Friday on its website. The startup in April unveiled preview versions of the V4 Flash and V4 Pro series, advertising top-tier performance in coding benchmarks and significant advancements in reasoning and agentic tasks. The company said the official release of DeepSeek V4-Pro “will follow soon.” APIs allow various software applications to interface with one another.
