Dyna Robotics Raises $120 Million in Funding From Nvidia, Amazon

Dyna Robotics, a startup working to develop cost-effective, general-purpose robots, has raised $120 million in a new funding round that boosts the company’s valuation to more than $600 million. The financing, which Dyna is set to announce on Monday, was led by CRV, First Round Capital and RoboStrategy, a fund focused on robotics. Several technology heavyweights, including the venture capital arms of Nvidia Corp., Amazon.com Inc. and Salesforce Inc., also participated in the round. The fundraising round reflects investors’ continued enthusiasm for a new generation of robots powered by artificial intelligence technology. The robotics sector has attracted $12.1 billion in the first half of this year, according to PitchBook. Founded in 2024, Dyna is building AI models designed to help robots learn and improve in the real world. The startup’s stationary robotic arms are currently deployed across multiple industries, including folding napkins for restaurants, towels for fitness centers and clothing for laundromats, according to founder and Chief Executive Officer Lindon Gao, who previously co-founded and sold startup Caper AI to Instacart.
