American defense startup XDOWN has introduced a multi-purpose drone that is deployed as easily as a quarterback throws a football. The oval-shaped PS Killer (PSK) is activated with a simple switch and then hurled into action. It boasts a range of over 40 miles (64 kilometers) and reaches speeds of 135 knots (155 miles/250 kilometers per hour). Weighing just 1.77 pounds (800 grams) — and double that with a payload — the PSK features stealth and swarming capabilities. “Our mission is to anticipate modern warfare and future combat strategies by providing the US army with complex aerial support through cutting-edge technologies integrating stealth, rapid deployment high-speed tactical modules,” the California-based firm stated. Designed primarily for special operations forces and counterterrorism, the PSK supports a range of kinetic and surveillance payloads. In urban warfare, it can be deployed for overhead reconnaissance or to neutralize snipers and fortified targets with minimal collateral damage. For secure and strategic deployment, the drone can be integrated with mission planning systems to coordinate with other military assets. “The PSK’s combat payload and advanced technical capabilities enable its effective use in scenarios where traditional methods require significantly more time and effort,” XDOWN explained.
