Mythos might not be the first frontier model to demonstrate offensive cyber capabilities, but it is the first in which the human operator is no longer the bottleneck. That distinction reorders the calculus for every CISO and IT operations lead currently running a monthly patch cycle. The model’s mechanics matter less than the operational shadow it casts. Discovery, weaponization, and exploitation timelines that were already moving in the wrong direction are now moving faster and further, and against an industry whose remediation playbooks were written for a slower world.
