Sudan’s paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) have launched an intensified wave of deadly drone strikes on government-held cities across the frontline state of North Kordofan after temporarily scaling back under international pressure. Recent strikes devastated public infrastructure, including an attack on a crowded courtroom in Um Ruwaba that killed at least 10 people and a strike that blew the roof off a college faculty building in the state capital, Al-Obeid. Both the RSF and the Sudanese Armed Forces have increasingly turned to advanced drone warfare tactic used by Ukraine and Russia.
