Asahi confirms massive ransomware data breach.

Japanese brewer Asahi said hackers stole personal data of about 2 million people in a September ransomware attack. The Qilin group claimed responsibility, exfiltrating 27 gigabytes of information including customer, employee, and family records, though no credit card data was taken. Operations remain partially disrupted as the company restores systems in phases and strengthens security measures. Experts warn recovery could take months, with risks of leaked data if ransom demands go unmet.
