Capcom has reported a cybersecurity incident resulting in unauthorized access to the personal details of 11,774,247 Capcom ID accounts used for online game features like Street Fighter 6. The compromised information includes user email addresses, account creation timestamps, login histories, and IP addresses used during the last login session. While user-created passwords were not accessed, unauthorized actors managed to alter passwords for 196 accounts, which Capcom has since reset as a precaution. The company confirmed that no financial or credit card information was exposed during the breach and is notifying impacted users directly. Capcom has launched a detailed forensic investigation with external security experts to strengthen its infrastructure and prevent future incidents.
