A Chinese cybersecurity firm has developed a tool to find vulnerabilities in programs.
360 Digital Security Group says its internally developed Multi‑Agent Collaborative Vulnerability Discovery System helped it find nearly 1,000 vulnerabilities and contributed to its top finish at a major Chinese hacking contest. Researchers note the firm’s claims invite comparisons to Anthropic’s Claude Mythos, which Anthropic says autonomously discovered thousands of flaws, but experts caution 360’s system appears to accelerate discrete research stages rather than match Mythos’s claimed reasoning. Some specific vulnerability claims from 360 are disputed or credited to other researchers, and analysts emphasize China’s legal requirement to report vulnerabilities to state agencies gives its firms structural advantages in channeling findings.
