Chrome 153 Patches Seventh Zero-Day of 2026

Chrome 153 patches exploited V8 zero‑day and over 200 flaws.

Google released Chrome 153 with fixes for 230 vulnerabilities, including an out‑of‑bounds write in the V8 engine that was exploited in the wild and reported by a university researcher. The update also addresses five critical bugs in WebGL and Cast, along with 41 high‑severity issues ranging from use‑after‑free to race conditions. The new versions for Windows, macOS and Linux are rolling out now, and users are urged to update promptly.
