Dartmouth confirms Oracle hack data theft.
Dartmouth College said hackers exploited a zero-day in its Oracle E-Business Suite in August, stealing files with personal and financial data, including Social Security numbers. The breach affected more than 31,000 people in New Hampshire and nearly 1,500 in Maine, though the full scope remains unclear. The Cl0p ransomware group has published 226 gigabytes of Dartmouth’s data and listed other victims, including Harvard, Tulane, and Southern Illinois University. Canon and Mazda also reported being targeted in the campaign, though Mazda said no data was leaked.
