Dozens of pro-democracy activists were sentenced to jail time in Hong Kong.

45 pro-democracy activists were sentenced to jail time in Hong Kong. They were convicted under a 2021 law which created stiff penalties for undermining national security. The activists were found guilty of attempting to disrupt the operations of government because of their organizing of candidates for legislative office.
