North Korea will continue nuclear weapon development.
North Korean leader Kim Jong Un stated that the country will permanently strengthen its nuclear forces and now regards South Korea as its most hostile state. He emphasized that North Korea’s nuclear status is irreversible and rejected any possibility of trading nuclear disarmament for economic or security incentives. Alongside these security declarations, Kim outlined a new five‑year economic plan focused on industrial modernization, boosting energy and food production, and expanding housing.
