When I speak with plant managers, COOs, or heads of operations today, the conversation usually starts the same way. Production is running at its limits. Teams are stretched thin. And despite decades of investment in automation, planning and decision-making still feel fragile. The uncomfortable truth is this: manufacturing is entering a decade in which complexity is increasing faster than the industry’s ability to manage it. AI is not a nice-to-have in this context.
