After Monday’s cyberattack on social media platform X, more information is beginning to come to light. It appears that there were several attack waves during the incident, and tens of thousands of users suffered from outages on the platform. The disruptions are likely attributed to distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks. Elon Musk noted that the IP addresses of the attackers involved originated from the Ukraine area. However, another source noted that a majority of the attack’s traffic came from IP addresses in the U.S., Vietnam, and Brazil.
