Prosper disclosed a data breach last month, stating that hackers stole confidential, proprietary, and personal information. According to the company, hackers queried its database to extract the information, but did not access user accounts. Have I Been Pwned has added the stolen information to their database to allow individuals to check if they have been affected. This service claims that 17.6 million Prosper accounts were affected, including information such as names, addresses, IP addresses, email addresses, dates of birth, government IDs, employment statuses, income levels, credit statuses, and browser user agent details.
